Protein Banana Bread

With a moist and light texture, this protein banana bread is a delicious guilt-free snack! It's not only low in calories, but it also packs in almost 10 grams of protein per slice!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 large bananas (300 grams)
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 scoop unflavored whey protein (33 grams)
  • 1 scoop unflavored casein protein (30 grams)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Place a sheet of parchment paper in a loaf pan and set aside.
  • Mash bananas in a large mixing bowl. Then whisk in eggs, milk, honey, and vanilla extract.
  • Gently add all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, cinnamon, whey protein, and casein protein.
  • Pour mixture into the loaf pan and place it in the oven for 40 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown.
  • Remove the protein banana bread from oven and allow it to cool, before slicing.

Notes

To store: Leftovers will stay fresh in the refrigerator for 5-6 days (covered).
To freeze: Place each banana bread slice in a plastic sandwich bag and store them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
