Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Sandwich

This air fryer chicken sandwich is the best high protein meal! A crispy outside layer holds juicy and tender meat on the inside. You won't believe the whole thing is under 450 calories!

Ingredients

  • 2 4-5 ounce pieces of sliced chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs gluten free
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Fage 0%
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Toppings

  • 2 low calorie buns
  • 2 slices reduced fat cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato

Spicy Mayo

  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise (30 grams)
  • 2 tsp sriracha (10 grams)

Instructions

  • Combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oregano on a plate. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
  • Place 2 slices of chicken breast in a large bowl (4-5 ounces each). Cover chicken with Greek yogurt, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer chicken to breading plate. Press down each piece from the top, making sure to coat each side with the breading mixture.
  • Air fry chicken for 15-20 minutes at 400° F (thicker cuts will take more time). Make sure to flip halfway through.
  • Remove from air fryer when done and serve immediately. Add your favorite toppings and sauce. I used the spicy mayo for this recipe.
