Subway Sauces List & Nutrition

Toppings and sauces are key to making the perfect sandwich. This Subway sauces list (found below) will come in handy the next time you’re at the popular restaurant.

We also included a useful table of nutrition facts to help you out. This is especially important if you’re watching your calories, because condiments can be high in fat and carbs.

It’s possible to build a healthy sandwich with the right cheese, lean meat, and whole wheat bread. But if you’re using the incorrect sauce, it will add unnecessary calories that will have a negative impact.

What’s the Healthiest Sauce at Subway?

There are a couple of different options when it comes to choosing healthy condiments at Subway. Hot Pepper Relish and Red Wine Vinegar both have 0 calories and 0g fat.

The Hot Pepper Relish sauce has only 1g of carbs, where Red Wine Vinegar has 0g carbs. Yellow mustard, Franks Red Hot Buffalo Sauce, Honey Mustard are also good options.

These three sauces have 20 calories or less per serving (see more detailed nutrition in the table above). It all comes down to your personal preference and fitness goals.

What’s the Unhealthiest Sauce at Subway?

There are also a few products on the menu you should stay away from – if you’re watching your weight. These sauces tend to be higher in calories and fat.

Traditional mayonnaise is the unhealthiest condiment Subway offers. This topping has 100 calories and 11g of fat per serving! You should opt for the lite mayonnaise instead for half the calories.

Caesar, Giardiniera and Peppercorn Ranch Sauce are also high in calories. They all have 80 calories each per serving. Keep these nutrition facts in mind when placing your order.

Did Subway Remove Ranch?

Yes, Subway has taken ranch dressing off the menu and replaced it with Peppercorn Ranch. These sauces have a common base flavor, but Peppercorn Ranch has a zesty and tangy taste.

This is not the first time Subway removed an item from their menu (and probably won’t be the last). The Southwest Chipotle Sauce was replaced by the Baja Chipotle Southwest Sauce.

Many customers say this new variety of Chipotle sauce has a spicier flavor profile. Subway has also removed the original Italian, Subway Vinaigrette, and Herb Oil from their menu.
