How Many Slices Are in a 10 Inch Pizza?
You need to know how much pizza to get when eating with a group of people. In the sections below I’ll talk about how much food you can expect from a 10-inch pizza.
It doesn’t matter if you’re making the pizza yourself, or ordering take-out. Knowing how much food you need is essential. The truth is, this size pizza might not be as big as you think.
One 10-inch pizza is considered to be a medium (regular) size. This standard size pie can comfortable feed about 2-4 people, depending on how big their appetite is.
It really comes down to personal preference. I’m a larger person (6’1″ and 195 lbs) so I could comfortably eat 4 slices of pizza. Keep these factors in mind when it comes to your guests.

How Many Slices Are in a 10-inch Pizza?
There are eight slices in a standard 10-inch pizza. When using a pizza cutter, it’s common to create four lines to form each slice. You can check out the image below for a better visualization.
Pizza slices are formed by creating a plus (+) symbol, followed by the letter X. As a result, these four lines will create eight perfectly even slices.
This is also considered to be a standard size slice of pizza (more on that below). You can always cut the surface to form bigger or smaller slices. However, each slice would be extra large, or very thin.
How Many People Does a 10-inch Pizza Feed?
A 10-inch pizza can feed around 2-4 people. It really comes down to how big the people are, their age and other factors. For example, this size pizza would be able to feed four children.
That would give each child two slices each. But a 10-inch pizza might only be able to feed two grown adults. That would mean each adult would get four slices each.
At the end of the day, the important thing is figuring out who your pizza is for. For example, a group of children will require less food, compared to an office party with adults.
How Big is Each Slice in a 10-inch Pizza?
Each slice in a 10-inch pizza will be around the size of a hand. Just keep in mind, a pizza slice is shaped like a triangle. So it will be larger at the crust and get smaller towards the point.
If you want a more specific answer, try calculating the area of a circle (A=π r2). In this case, the radius is 5″ – which helps us conclude the area to be 78.54 inches.
One thing that will stay consistent is the length (about 5 inches per slice). If you get a larger size pizza, each size will get longer. And if you go for a smaller size pizza, each slice will get shorter.
